To Whom Much is Given…

Hey Everyone!

Alright so lets get down to business. Are you tired of school, work, or whatever you may be involved with constantly in your life? Well guess what – you’re not alone. Everyone gets to a point in thier live when they want to stand up and yell, “I can’t take it anymore!”  You could possibly be at this point in your life right now. “When someone has been given much, much will be required in return” Luke 12:48.

Ask yourself, do you have a lot? Well let’s see. You obviously have access to a computer. You most likely have a bed, a roof over your head, food, clothing, music. It’s fair to say that that is quite a bit. So you see, because God has blessed you with these things he expects something from you. This verse could apply to a bunch of things. But i’d like to think of the two things God would require: Time and Tithes.

Time. Probably the most important. We all hear about how precious it is and how we shouldn’t waste it. But the fact is that we do. This blogger’s message today is for those out there who feel weary and feel like they have too much going on.  Well, always remember that if you have something than that means that God can use you. Trust and believe that God has blessed everyone with a special talent and if you subject yourself to different areas, only God will be able to help you maintain them.

It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Hey everyone! :D

Alright, so Christmas has just passed. You probably got some gifts and spent time with family. You probably heard the story of Christmas over and over and over. Still, some might wonder what makes this the most wonderful time of the year?

All you probably hear is people saying how the reason for the season is gone. Christmas is just a hoax – a scam. No one cares about the birth of Jesus. All everyone is concerned about is how big their stocking is. This doesn’t sound all that wonderful. All of these negative and resentful feelings during this time of year. Hopefully there are still some out there who know how to appreciate this special time of year.

Now Christmas is over. These feelings and moods will slowly fade away. People will get back to their normal lives. Here’s a question: Did you ever take the time out of your Christmas Day to thank God for sending Jesus to earth?

Only you know the answer to this. This blogger is no judge. This blogger only wants you to think: Did you really appreciate the reason for the season? Did you get caught up in the holiday fever?

If so, don’t feel guilty. We all do it. So try your best to change the tone for next year. :)

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen includes our Super Duper Awesome blog for today!

We’re Counting On You

Hey everyone! :)

Do you want to know what the biggest problem is with teens today? It’s trust. Everyone is skeptical these days. It’s because we’ve all been hurt. We’ve all had someone do us wrong. We’ve all done someone wrong. This is why no one wants to trust anyone anymore. Even God falls victim to this.

Have you ever wanted something? Wait.. that should be rephrased: Have you ever not wanted something? Do people not know that there is a God who can do ALL things?  A God that you can count on. It’s not that hard to imagine. It’s not some dream or myth. It’s 100% real. But through all of this, most people are stubborn. Most people must see in order to believe. Perhaps, it’ll just take time for those people.

For the rest of us, the ones who don’t need to see great bodies of water separated in order to believe. The ones who don’t need to see 2 loaves of bread and 5 fish multiplied to the point where it can feed thousands of people in order to believe in our God. The ones who can count on their God – no matter what the situation. The ones who will still love him, even if he doesn’t do anything else for them in this life.

Dear Reader, if nothing else, leave this blog with this question on your heart: Am I counting on my God?

Ask yourself this every time you go through something and the answer will come to you.

And so Ladies and Gentlemen, this concludes the super duper awesome blog for today! :)

Why Can’t?

Hey Everyone!

The big question today is: why can’t? You can go so far with this question: Why can’t I get good grades? Why can’t I get a boyfriend/girlfriend? Why can’t I have (insert material object here)?  These are some of the most common questions asked by teens and preteens today. But let’s kick it up a notch – let’s go on a spiritual level: Why can’t I praise God in front of my youth group? Why can’t I humble myself? Why can’t I read my bible like I should? These are some questions that are not so common – at least verbally. Possibly, you may have a few young people thinking these things all the time.

If you noticed each and every question had 3 things in common. The words: Why, Can’t, and I. I is the most important. It is the answer to all of the questions. All you gotta do is change I to You.

It’s You. You’re the reason you can’t. At church, you’re given an opportunity to praise God, but you don’t take it. The same thing with all of those other spiritual questions. As far as the worldly questions – throw them out. Once you learn how to praise, pray, worship..etc. You’ll realize what life is truly about.

For all you smart alec’s who have already heard this.. It is guaranteed that even you will have a situtation where you’ll wonder this exact same question.

Don’t ignore this.. It’s for the good of you, and others.

Forever and Ever

Hey everyone!

Here’s a thought: Do you know how long forever is? When you think about it.. It’s kinda difficult to understand. It’s not like we as christians have very many examples. The things we go through in life don’t last forever because life doesn’t even last forever. The only thing that will last forever is God and his love. “Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.” Psalms 45:6.

Thats why there are so many people who dedicate their lives to God. In the end you’ll either be with God forever and ever, or you wont. It’s our personal choice on earth to decide whether or not we want to be.

Forever is a long time. As a matter of fact, time cannot describe it’s length. Once your gone.. your place in which you will dwell is set – forever. If that doesn’t mean anything to you, than perhaps you should educate yourself more in the word of God or go on in life not caring. (This blogger strongly encourages the first option).

It’s never to late to change the path in which you’ll go down.. Forever.

And with that said Ladies and Gentlemen.. this concludes the blog for today :)

The 3 “D’s”

Hello everybody.

Today’s blog is about the 3 “D’s”… Disappointment, Depression, and Doubt. And the funny thing is.. they usually occur in that order too. Let’s use a typical situation. Say that you prayed for something.. like a new car for instance. You don’t end up getting the car a few weeks later. So your all disappointed at either God or yourself because either: you feel God didn’t answer your prayers for no reason.. or that you couldn’t pray strong enough. After that, you start getting depressed mostly because you don’t have a car.. and we’ll throw in that you feel like you “aren’t where you need to be with the Lord”. Finally, your little buddy called doubt comes along. So now, you start feeling doubtful and wonder, “Is God really there?” or “Does God still love me?”

This happens all the time. Even on a daily basis with some Christians. The car could have been substituted with anything in life.  Hopefully, you ask yourself, “Why are so many people victim to the “D’s”? It’s a very simple answer. People become disappointed, depressed, and doubtful because they attach so much emotion and put so much focus on the material or temporary thing.

Here’s the verse that everybody knows : Cast your cares on the LORD  and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. (Psalms 55:22). Here’s a bit of advice for all you people out there experiencing any of the “D’s”… Do what this verse says. Disappointment happens after something that you care about fails you. Depression is basically a stronger feeling of disappointment. And doubt is the same way.

So,  if you released some of your cares or burdens.. your “D’s” would go away.. because your getting to the source of what started them. Yes, this blogger knows that the process of letting go is easier said than done… but that doesn’t make it any less impossible.

And with that said ladies and gentlemen.. this includes the super duper awesome blog for today! :)

First You Fail, Then You Prevail

Hey everybody! Here’s a thought: No one is perfect. Take a few seconds and digest it. That statement is about as true as 2+2=4. You must start with this thought everytime something goes wrong… and right. On this blog can be listed tons of examples of mistakes and mishaps, but whats the point? You know very well what failing feels like – and what you should’ve done to prevent it. But the point of this blog is not to make you feel bad or guilty – it’s only to let you know something inportant and postive.

OK, so are you ready to read the important and positive message!? Here it is folks : First you fail, then you prevail. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it? This blogger likes to use pretty self – explanatory messages. Most people always want to be the best. They want to reach the unattainable… “perfection”. Here’s a bit of advice for all you people like that: swap the word “perfection” with “prevail”.

To prevail is attainable. There are plenty of examples of how to do it the right way. Start by possibly taking a look at your pastor or youth pastor. Or an active member in the church. Maybe even yourself. You may not even realize how blessed you are. Just know that anyone who has prevailed or is prevailing.. went through plenty of failures at some things. They have struggled and it is guaranteed that they worked hard to get to where they are today. Proverbs 18:8 “With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.”

Your Knight In Shining Armor

Do you know what today is? If you guessed “Father’s Day” – your right! Some say that father’s are much more unappreciated than mothers. It’s so true for the the most part. There are plenty of theories and explanations why – but to be honest.. it’s because women rock!! :D

But on a serious note, we all should really give a special thanks to the male leaders in our life aka our fathers. For all you people out there who don’t think you have a father you should read Psalms 68:5… “A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.”

That should be pretty self – explanatory, folks. But know, that even if you do have a father, that God is still yours too. For all of you future fathers… learn from the good ones already around you. Most of them are experts!

Also, remember not to get caught up in all the celebrating. This is about your fathers – not the food or partying. Not that food and partying is bad, but don’t let it take the place of what is important. Make this day one you’ll never forget. Clean the armor of your knight for once (he may need it!).

And with that said ladies and gentlemen, this concludes the super awesome blog for today! :D

Don’t Let Summer be a Bummer!

Hey everyone! Guess what?? It’s summer time! This is the only “break” of the year for most. You would think that young people would be excited and have an entire agenda of what they are going to do for these next few months… But for most teens these days.. it’s quite the opposite.

It is almost impossible to hear someone say,” Summer is awesome!” or “Finally I get to relax!”. We live amongst a very energetic and enthusiastic generation group of kids who always want to do something. So, it’s very likely to hear, “I wish I had school again” or “Man, there is nothing to do!”. And don’t forget the all to common pair of words, “I’m bored”.

All the people who say these things really don’t realize that they have a great opportunity. This is the chance to truly and fully commit yourself to doing God’s work. (This does not mean you have to go stand on a street corner singing “Worthy is the Lamb”.) There are other ways you can do this, such as:

  • Inviting friends to church (they can’t have a good excuse, can they?)
  • Making friends (and then inviting them to church)
  • Earn some money (with the free time on your hands.. you could start a daycare or car wash or lemonade stand)
  • join a YMCA or a local sports club in your town

Basically, don’t make this summer a bummer. You should enjoy it while it lasts because as you grow older you have things in your life that become more permanent – unlike school. Don’t miss this opportunity to pray like you’ve never prayed before. Or spend the day reading your bible. You have time now – don’t waste it!

And with that said ladies and gentlemen.. this concludes the super duper awesome blog for today! :)
